Ossera is an artisan village located between La Vansa and Fórnols, where the women traditionally peddled turpentine and fir oils from door to door, as well as herbs and traditional remedies.
Today, some artisans still keep this legacy alive. Nico de Winter’s stone carving workshop is open to visitors. Suzette grows aromatic and medicinal plants in her own botanical garden, and uses them for her Cal Nogué range of herbal products.
Walking round the village, we can meet painter Jaume Rovira, and visit Cal Casal jam-makers and Serrat Gros cheese factory.
