Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park

The high-mountain landscape has an impressive relief and a rich variety of fauna and vegetation: fir and mountain pine forests, screes and alpine meadows, peaks over 3000m high, and fauna including chamois, marmots, wood grouse, and bearded vultures. Water is the main feature of this high-altitude territory, which contains some 200 lakes and innumerable mountain streams.

Hikers will enjoy climbing 3000-metre peaks, such as Montardo, Peguera, Comaloforno, and Besiberri Massif. The park offers activities to suit all tastes, ranging from rugged trails to adapted spaces for persons with reduced mobility or physical disability. Guided itineraries are available to help you discover the hidden secrets of this protected natural area in the Pyrenees.
