Villages in the Catalan Pyrenees not to be missed

Bagergue is the highest inhabited village in the Val d’Aran. Taüll preserves the best examples of Catalan Romanesque architecture still intact. In Salàs de Pallars you will find the old centre with the shops-Museum and the city walls. In the Vall Fosca, the sun sets earlier when the days are longer. Another charming village is Solsona, famous for its carnival. Gósol still preserves intact the attraction that inspired Picasso as a young man. Santa Pau is the capital of the haricot beans, which are cooked in “volcanic cuisine” style. Stroll through the little villages of the Pyrenees which have preserved their heritage and discover their popular traditions. Not to be missed!
