Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park

The 4866 hectares of the park are a bird-lovers’ paradise, especially Caramany Island, Les Llaunes and Els Estanys sanctuaries.

Two areas of the park are open to the public, with itineraries departing from El Cortalet and Vilaüt enabling visitors to contemplate the magnificent marshland landscape and see a wide variety of fauna (mainly ornithological) along the route. The park has seventeen hides and observatories. It is also possible to visit the Autochthonous Fauna Attention and Reproduction Centre (CARFA).
