Located in Olot, in the heart of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone, Espai Cràter offers an immersive experience to explore volcanism from a scientific and sensory perspective. Through audiovisual media, augmented reality and interactive installations, visitors can virtually enter the interior of a volcano and understand the geological processes that govern it.

The permanent exhibition presents the Garrotxa environment through two main themes: seismic and volcanic activity, and the region’s principal ecosystems. The first section explains the geological structure of the Earth, the causes of earthquakes and volcanoes, and the specific characteristics of volcanism in this area.

The visit is complemented by an 8-minute audiovisual on local seismic and volcanic activity, including a simulated earthquake experience.
