The permanent exhibition of the Volcano Museum focuses on the physical environment of Garrotxa County, concentrating on seismic and volcanic phenomena, and the main ecosystems in the county.

The aim of the first part of the visit is to understand the geological nature of the Earth, the causes of earthquakes and volcanoes, and the main volcanic features of the area.

The exhibition is complemented by an 8-minute audiovisual on seismic and volcanic activity in the area, during which visitors can experience a simulation of an earthquake.
